Armored Toyota Sequoia built by Lexani Motorcars

We like cars and fancy transport at Kitguru. A new fully kitted out Toyota Sequoia has been created by Lexani Motorcars which features an incredible list of internal changes. This is a car that the President would be proud to drive around in.

This armored vehicle features state of the art luxury chairs, a dedicated wine cooler and huge flat screen TV's to enjoy while being driven around. The new composite armor on the car means that the armor isn't a big fitting problem.

Lexani have taken the 2013 Toyota Sequoia and kitted it out in body armor. They have used Kevlar, ceramic composites, laminated armor glass and ballistic steel. They claim the car can withstand an attack from 7.62 x 51 mm M80 NATO ball ammunition and the floor alone has enough strength to get it STANAG 4569 Level 1 certification. In layman's terms, it can withstand the blast from two hand grenades wired together and simultaneously detonated.

The company have also armored the fuel tank and the vehicle battery.

New door hinges on the car have been added so they can cope with 60 percent more weight. The biggest problem wasn't the weight however but getting the space to add in all the mod cons inside, such as the chill drawers and vanishing flat screen televisions.

Kitguru says: Ideal for a tough trip around the world in hostile environments.
