Samsung Galaxy S7 release date leaked

While we are currently expecting to see Samsung's 2016 flagship, the Galaxy S7, make an appearance at the Mobile World Congress at the end of February we haven't heard much word about a solid release date. However, that may have just changed this week as the release date for the Galaxy S7 appears to have leaked.

This leak comes from EVLeaks/Evan Blass, who has often proven to be a reliable source on these things. According to him, the Samsung Galaxy S7 is set to launch at retail on the 11th of March in the US. Right now, we don't know how close the UK/European release date is set to follow.

This will be a bit earlier than the release of the Galaxy S6, which saw its debut in March last year and launched at retail in April.

Right now, rumour has it that the Galaxy S7 will feature a 5.1-inch 1440p display, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot and an Exynos 8990 processor. It will also debut with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow so it will have all of the most up to date software features available.

KitGuru Says: Samsung's devices are consistently popular year after year though there has been some decline in sales since the Galaxy S4. Are any of you currently running a Samsung Galaxy smartphone? Are you planning on upgrading this year?
