You can get a Ryzen 7 1700X for just £289.99 this month

If you've been on the edge about upgrading your rig so far this year, then this might finally be the time to take the leap as this week, the excellent Ryzen 7 1700X is going on sale in the UK.

AMD's popular 8-core chip has had its price cut down to £289.99 at Overclockers UK and Scan starting from today. Usually, the Ryzen 7 1700X sells for closer to the £330 mark, so this is a decent saving. The price cut doesn't last forever though, the price will go back up from the 25th of September onwards, so you have two weeks in total to take advantage.

Back when we reviewed the Ryzen 7 1700X we gave it our ‘MUST HAVE' award, praising it for its superb price to performance ratio compared to Intel's Broadwell-E offerings at the time. We also managed to overclock our chip to Ryzen 7 1800X levels, so there is additional performance you can squeeze out of it.

If you fancy taking advantage, you can find the Ryzen 7 1700X at Overclockers UK HERE. Or at Scan, HERE.

KitGuru Says: Given how much praise Ryzen has been receiving, it has got me contemplating whether to make the switch as well. Are any of you planning on building a new rig soon? Will you be picking up a Ryzen 7 1700X?
