The first in-game footage for Jurassic World Evolution is here

We had a number of good surprises at E3 this year, one of which was Jurassic World Evolution, a new Dinosaur-themed strategy game in the works over at Frontier. We didn’t see much of the game at the time, but this week at Frontier Expo, the first in-game footage was released.

The footage doesn’t really show much in terms of gameplay, it is really more of a graphical showcase. The two-minute long video shows some of the scenery, a few different dinosaurs etc:

In Jurassic World Evolution, players will get to build their own version of Jurassic Park on a large scale. It’s essentially like Roller Coaster Tycoon but with dinosaurs, well at least that’s the impression the game’s description leaves. It also just so happens that Frontier previously developed Roller Coaster Tycoon back in the day.

Jurassic World Evolution is currently planned for a PC and console release next year.

KitGuru Says: It’s been a while since I’ve sunk some hours into a city/theme park builder so I’m looking forward to this. Are any of you keeping an eye on Jurassic World Evolution?

KitGuru Games: DLSS 5 misses the point

It would be hard to argue that NVIDIA’s DLSS technologies haven’t been a net positive to the PC space, with the machine-learning based upscaler successfully translating lower resolution inputs into a final image which is perceivably sharper while hogging fewer resources. Though somewhat more contentious, the next evolution of DLSS came in the form of Frame Generation, using ML in order to generate additional frames for high-refresh rate gaming. Both techniques can have their issues, but generally speaking they’ve allowed for more people to experience higher-end titles at increased frame rates. DLSS 5, however, takes a sharp pivot, with a very different end goal in mind than the performance-boosting versions that came before.
