Call of Duty Warzone brings back Trio squads after fan backlash

Just a few days after swapping out three-player teams with quads in Call of Duty: Warzone, Activision has had a change of heart. Following complaints about the change, Trios have been restored.

In a tweet on Thursday, Infinity Ward confirmed the change, saying: “A playlist update is rolling out now across all platforms! We’ve added BR Trios back into #Warzone!”

A number of fans took issue with the change and voiced their concerns on Reddit and other platforms. Once Trios were restored, there was a small bug that replaced new Season 3 loot with the loot available at launch, but that has also been fixed up.

The post announcing the change on the Warzone subreddit has received a positive reception too, so it would seem that Infinity Ward has won the playerbase back over.

KitGuru Says: What did you all think of Trios being replaced by Quads in Warzone? Are you happy to see things reverted, or did you like having an extra member on your team?
