AMD Radeon RX 6700M 3DMark benchmark results spotted

Although it was announced alongside the already available AMD Radeon RX 6800M and RX 6600M, the RX 6700M hasn't released yet. A launch could be happening soon though, as the 3DMark benchmark database now includes results for the upcoming laptop GPU.

The benchmark results were shared by Twitter leaker, @ro_game. We get both 3DMark Time Spy and Fire Strike results for an unknown laptop sporting the Radeon RX 6700M (135W) and a Ryzen 5900HX. The laptop is compared with several other systems – one equipped with an RX 6800M (145W), a Lenovo Legion 5 Pro with an RTX 3070 (140W), a ROG Strix G17 with an RTX 3070 (130W), and a Legion 5 Pro with an RTX 3060 (115W).

Just to make things clear, although the 3DMark database entries show the GPU as an ‘AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT', it's an RX 6700M.

In Time Spy, the system scored 8721 points, putting it at the bottom of the list, slightly below the RTX 3060. However, when comparing its score of 23413 points in Fire Strike with the other GPUs, it outperforms the RTX 3060 and both RTX 3070 systems. In both tests, the Radeon RX 6800M is 20-27% faster than the RX 6700M.

KitGuru says: Based on these results, if you were looking for a new gaming laptop, would you consider buying one equipped with a Radeon RX 6700M?
