Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection announced for PC and PS5

A couple months back we reported that Uncharted 4 might be coming to PC, thanks to a leak from Sony's fiscal reports. At today’s PlayStation showcase, it was finally announced – though the team managed to subvert expectations, giving players even more than they wanted.

Making the announcement during the PlayStation showcase, it was revealed that Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, and Uncharted: Lost Legacy are coming to both the PC platform as well as the PlayStation 5 via a new bundle titled ‘Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection.’

While little is currently known about the nature of this remaster, it has been confirmed that the game will come to PS5 and PC in early 2022, with the PC release being slightly behind the PS5’s. While it seems as though the PS5 version is being worked on by Naughty Dog themselves, Iron Galaxy have been tasked with the PC port, suggesting a bespoke experience.

While nothing has been shared when it comes to the details of the remaster itself, the trailer confirms that the remaster will run at least at 60fps. Whether there are any other additions is currently unknown, though considering the fact that the game is still so far away, it appears to be much more than a simple next-gen patch.

While many first party titles have now been brought over to the PS5 and PC, all of these saw their PS5 counterparts receiving little more than a 60fps patch. Such was the case with Days Gone and Horizon Zero Dawn. The use of the term ‘remaster’ in this context seems to suggest that the game will be updated in a similar way to Spider-Man: Remastered – which offered much more than a 60fps option. Hopefully we get more details on this collection soon.
