AMD brings price cuts to Ryzen 5000 CPUs and RX 6000 GPUs

This summer, many retailers have had a surge in available stock for current-gen graphics cards, which has led to a solid sales season. For the next week, AMD is running a big promotion here in the UK, bringing down prices of Ryzen 5000 series processors, as well as a number of RX 6000 series graphics cards.

On the processor front, if you are making the jump to a Ryzen 5000 series CPU, you have a lot of options to choose from. The Ryzen 5 5600X is down from £299 to £199, and the Ryzen 7 5800X is down from £400 to £269.99. You'll also find a few hardware bundles and other SKUs, like the Ryzen 7 5700X and the Ryzen 9 5900X, as well as APUs on sale too.

On the graphics card side of things, the situation is looking good for anyone that still wants to get their hands on an RX 6000 series GPU. For starters, the Gigabyte RX 6900 XT Gaming OC has been cut down to £749.99. You can also find an RX 6800 XT for as low as £649.99, an RX 6740 XT for £529.99 and a few RX 6700 XT models for £449.99. There are also RX 6600 and RX 6500 graphics cards in stock at the moment too, priced at under £300.

You'll find discounts at several UK retailers participating in the AMD Game On sale event, including Overclockers UK, Scan, Ebuyer, Box, CCL, AWD-IT and Novatech. The sale ends on Friday the 5th of August, or while stocks last.
