Xbox monthly active users surpasses 120 million

While Microsoft saw a decline in gaming revenue last quarter, the number of monthly active Xbox users is up. As of last quarter, Xbox set a new record of 120 million MAUs.

As VGC reports, in the second quarter of Microsoft's fiscal year, Xbox has registered record-breaking numbers of game streaming hours, active devices, and monthly active users on Xbox, peaking at over 120 million.

The partnerships Microsoft was able to land with publishers such as Riot Games and Ubisoft have apparently helped with Game Pass growth. Moreover, the company has a strong lineup ahead for the first half of 2023, including titles like Forza Motorsport, Redfall, Minecraft Legends and Starfield.

Game Pass and Xbox as a whole should see further gains this year. With games such as Starfield being available at launch for Xbox Game Pass subscribers, and also launching exclusively on Xbox platforms, Xbox console sales and Game Pass subscriptions should both rise.
