The PS5 price cut returns in the UK and Europe

Sony brought in the first official PS5 price cut in regions across the world over the summer, shaving $100/£75 off the price tag. We heard that Sony had expected to sell more during the limited-time promotion in the UK and Europe. Now, Sony is bringing the deal back for a bit longer.

Sony is cutting a chunk off the PS5's price tag, bringing the price down to £399 at most retailers, including Amazon. The price cut is available in several European countries as well as the UK.

The price cut is available at both digital retailers like Amazon or PlayStation Direct, as well as physical stores, like GAME. Like last time, the price cut will be temporary, although we are likely to see similar deals return around Christmas time and Black Friday.

In previous years, Sony did not offer PS5 price cuts during sales seasons, in part due to the fact that there wasn't enough supply to fuel a promotional campaign, with the console consistently being sold out through 2021 and 2022.
