The Blood of Dawnwalker PC requirements lowered ahead of September launch

Rebel Wolves has announced an update lowering the PC system requirements for its debut RPG, The Blood of Dawnwalker. The adjustments scale down both the minimum and recommended hardware specifications needed to run the upcoming game at 1080p resolution.

The updated minimum configuration shared by the developer on X now requires an Intel i5-11400F or AMD Ryzen 7 2700X CPU, down from the original requirement of an Intel i7-8700K or Ryzen 7 3700X. Graphics hardware requirements dropped from an Nvidia RTX 3050 or GTX 1070 down to a GTX 1060 or Radeon RX 580.

Targeting 60FPS at 1080p on the recommended tier now requires an Intel i7-11700K or AMD Ryzen 7 5700X CPU, changing from the previously stated Intel i5-13600 or Ryzen 9 7900X. Recommended graphics cards have been reduced to an RTX 4060 or a Radeon RX 7600 XT, replacing the previous requirement of an RTX 5060 or an RX 6800 XT. Rebel Wolves noted that updated requirements for alternative configurations will be shared later.

According to the developer, we can expect more detailed system requirements and presets at a later date, after the final optimisation processes are complete.

KitGuru says: It seems the optimisation efforts were worth it, given the updated system specs. Now many more fans will be able to pick up the new game without feat of it not running.
