Rumoured Dino Crisis Remake has reportedly been in development since 2022

Ever since Capcom first started to remake its older Resident Evil titles, there have been cries from fans for the publisher to offer a similar treatment to some of its other IPs. Capcom themselves have lent into this over the years, asking fans which games they would want to see remade. One title which has been rumoured to be in development is a Dino Crisis remake – with work reportedly having begun all the way back in 2022.

As reported by Capcom leakers ‘Team Biohazard’, the long-rumoured Dino Crisis remake is said to indeed be real and has been in the works for longer than many would expect, claiming that “development began in 2022.”

Unfortunately, fans will still have to wait a bit for anything official on the matter, with Team Biohazard suggesting that its announcement might not arrive until 2028/29 – though this appears to be more speculative on their part.

Of course, all of it should be taken with a pinch of salt. That said, Capcom did file a new trademark for the Dino Crisis IP just last year, suggesting that things are indeed in motion.

Even assuming it doesn’t get announced until 2028, Capcom have a penchant for launching games within a relatively short time after their initial announcement, meaning we could still be getting our hands on the long-awaited Dino Crisis Remake within the next couple of years. We will have to wait and see.
