Philips announces Evnia 27M2N3291PL/01 260Hz IPS display for £139

Philips has introduced the Evnia 27M2N3291PL/01, a new 27‑inch Fast IPS gaming monitor offering a 260Hz refresh rate and 0.3ms Smart MBR response time, all for just £139, making this one of the most interesting entry-level displays announced this year.

The Evnia 27M2N3291PL/01 uses a 27‑inch Full HD Fast IPS panel with 8‑bit colour depth, a 1000:1 contrast ratio and 300‑nit brightness. Philips lists colour coverage at 87% Adobe RGB, 91.9% DCI‑P3, 116% sRGB and 107% NTSC. At these levels, this monitor appears to have great coverage for its price point.

Philips includes low input lag and several gaming‑oriented tools, such as Smart Crosshair and SmartImage preset modes for FPS, Racing and RTS titles. Shadow Boost is also available to improve visibility in darker scenes. Smart MBR can be enabled to further reduce motion blur during rapid transitions, though it disables adaptive sync when active.

SoftBlue mode is included to reduce blue‑light output during extended sessions. Users can adjust settings through the OSD or the Evnia Precision Center software. Connectivity consists of HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 1.4 and a 3.5mm headphone jack, covering the basics for PC and console use.
