Turtle Beach reveals Vulcan II XP keyboard with hot-swappable Titan HS switches

Turtle Beach has announced the Vulcan II XP Full-Size Mechanical RGB Gaming Keyboard, updating its low-profile lineup with hot-swappable switches and SOCD input technology.

Turtle Beach's new Vulcan II XP supports both 3-pin and 5-pin hot-swappable switches. By default, the keyboard comes equipped with Titan HS mechanical switches, and you can select factory pre-lubricated linear switches for smooth keystrokes or tactile switches for light tactile feedback, both rated for 50 million keystrokes. Internal sound-damping foam and pre-lubed stabilisers work alongside the switches to reduce typing noise and board vibration.

Other gaming-oriented features include full N-Key Rollover, anti-ghosting, and ReacTap SOCD, which prioritises the most recent directional input for counter-strafing – just don't use it in Counter-Strike 2, because Valve has banned it. Easy-Shift[+] allows secondary key assignments and macros, while Game Mode locks the Windows key to avoid accidental presses while gaming. A dedicated multi-function media wheel provides volume adjustment, push-to-mute, and navigation. Once you set everything up, you can save up to five setting profiles to the board itself, so you can carry your preferences across different PCs. All software adjustments are handled through Turtle Beach's Swarm II software.

The keyboard is built to last thanks to its brushed aluminium frame, and you get per-key RGB lighting too with native Windows Dynamic Lightning support, so your LEDs can change based on the content running. For connectivity, you get a detachable USB-C cable. In the box, you'll also find a detachable wrist rest.

Pre-orders have already opened up, ahead of full retail availability on October 25th. The Turtle Beach Vulan II XP will cost £119.99/$149.99/€129.99 at launch.
