Lenovo’s Ivy-Bridge IdeaPad Y480 now up for pre-order

Lenovo has added itself to the list of notebook manufacturers jumping the gun on Ivy Bridge with a Pre-Order listing appearing online for its Ivy Bridge-equipped IdeaPad Y480 notebook.

Sporting Intel's upcoming Core i7-3610QM quad-core 2.3GHz processor, this 14″ notebook with a model code of “20934FU” is now listed on Amazon and features a 1.3-inch thick chassis and NVIDIA's GeForce GT 630M nestled inside.

Other specs include 8GB of RAM, a 750GB HDD and 1.5W JBL stereo speakers. Battery life is certainly not its strongest point with the specifications stating just 3.5 hours. The laptop will ship with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit installed.

The associated price tag for Lenovo's IdeaPad Y480 Ivy Bridge-equipped notebook is US $999.99. A shipping date has not yet been provided.

KitGuru says: One of many more Ivy Bridge notebooks to inevitably be thrown up for Pre-Order at exxy prices ahead of Intel's official launch. Oh, and what's the deal with that atrocious battery life?
