John McAfee sells life rights for movie, TV

It has been a heck of a year for John McAfee. The U.S. antivirus pioneer was recently arrested in Guatemala and is facing deportation to Belize as part of a murder investigation. He has sold his life story to Montreal based TV production company Impact Future Media.

The Hollywood Reporter received an email statement from Brian Fitzgerald, a co founder of Impact Future Media. He said “[McAfee] trusts that we will honor his life story in an honest and truthful manner.”

They are now looking investors for production which they are calling “Running in the Background: The True Story of John McAfee.”

The plan is to release a movie on the life story of John McAfee across film, TV and print. The 67 year old man is wanted for questioning of the murder of his neighbour, a builder called Gregory Faull. McAfee eluded police in Belize but was arrested in Guatemala.

McAfee said “My most heartfelt thank you goes to Impact Future Media and Cartoon Monkey Studio, Their dedication to the truth is very uncommon in the world we live in today. I am now, and will always be, grateful to their organizations.”
