BenQ’s latest projector offers 240Hz gaming, but it comes at a steep price

BenQ has made projectors for quite some time and we’re beginning to see some impressive gaming-oriented ones. BenQ’s latest projector, the X3000i, offers a 240Hz maximum refresh rate, but it comes at a steep price.

The BenQ X3000i, first announced during CES 2022, has finally arrived for those looking for a big display. Users can either opt for a 1080p gaming experience at 240Hz refresh rate and 4ms response time or reduce it to 120Hz and 8ms response time. Alternatively, gamers can also play at 4K and 60Hz with 16ms of response time.

Featuring 3000lm of brightness, a contrast ratio of 500,000:1 (using Lightsrouce dimming), the projector can cover up to 100% of the DCI-P3 wide colour gamut and display up to 1.07 billion colours. In addition, it supports Game mode and HDR content thanks to BenQ HDR Pro and Dynamic Black technologies.

Based on Android 10 OS, the BenQ X3000i comes with a 2D keystone to align it and can display a 100-inch image at just 2.5m using 1.3x zoom. Connectivity options include 2x HDMI 2.0b ports, a USB-A 2.0 port, a 3.5mm audio jack, a SPDIF port, Bluetooth 4.2 and Wi-Fi 2.4/5G. Moreover, it has two 5W treVolo speakers with support for Dolby Atmos.

BenQ is accepting pre-orders of the X3000i until March 14. The gaming projector will put you back £1,699/€1,899/$1,999.
