Cooler Master is suing several AIO makers for patent infringement

Cooler Master has recently filed a lawsuit against SilverStone, Enermax, and their joint OEM Apaltek. Cooler Master has accused the three companies of infringing on its patents. The complaint was filed in the United States District Court for the Central District of California.

According to TechPowerUp, Cooler Master claims the three companies have violated three of its US patents. The alleged infringing products include SilverStone's IceMyst 240, PF240, PF240W, IceGem 360, VIDA 240 Slim, and RGB Controller, as well as Enermax's Aquafusion ADV, Liqmax III ARGB, Liqtech 360 TR4 II Slim, and RGB Controller. Apaltek, which is being sued as the original technology provider for SilverStone and Enermax, does not sell any products under its name.

Cooler Master specifically claims that the pump-inside-radiator design and the ARGB mini-controller are its inventions and that the core design of the coolers also infringes on its patents. The company is seeking damages and legal fees as relief.

One of the defendants has responded to the lawsuit, stating that Cooler Master's behaviour is that of a “bully”, due to the accusations levied at smaller competitors, while excluding other Apaltek customers.
