AMD’s official figures claim the Ryzen 7 7800X3D is up to 24% faster than the Intel Core i9-13900K

We've already seen both the Ryzen 9 7950X3D and the Ryzen 9 7900X3D release, but we're still waiting to see the Ryzen 7 7800X3D in action. With the launch just a couple of weeks away, AMD has shared its internal benchmarks for the processor, claiming it to be up to 24 percent faster than the Intel Core i9-13900K.

Based on AMD's marketing material shared by Tom's Hardware, the Ryzen 7 7800X3D will be able to outperform the mighty Core i9-13900K and its predecessor (Ryzen 7 5800X3D) by a considerable margin in some games. All testing was conducted with games running at 1080p with the High quality preset. Both the Ryzen 7 7800X3D and Intel Core i9-13900K systems were running 32GB of DDR5-6000 memory, while the 5800X3D used 32GB of DDR4-3600 memory.

First compared with the Core i9-13900K, the upcoming processor was up to 13% faster in Rainbow Six Siege, up to 18% in Total War: Three Kingdoms, up to 23% in Red Dead Redemption 2, and up to 24% in Horizon Zero Dawn. On average, the AMD chip is up to 19.5% faster than Intel's CPU. Against the Ryzen 7 5800X3D, the performance differences increase, with the Ryzen 7000X3D chip being up to 21% faster in Rainbow Six Siege, up to 22% in Warhammer: Dawn of War III, up to 23% in CS:GO, and up to 30% in DOTA 2. That puts the upcoming processor as being up to 24% faster on average than the Ryzen 7 5800X3D.

Cross-checking the official performance figures for the Ryzen 7 7800X3D and the Ryzen 7950X3D where possible (Rainbow Six Siege and Horizon Zero Dawn) suggests both chips will differ by only 5% in favour of the Ryzen 9 CPU. The Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor will be launching on the 6th of April, so expect to see more reviews in a couple of weeks time.
