Intel is expected to launch new 12th Gen Core “Alder Lake” processors in early 2022, including the first non-K SKUs. According to reports this week, the upcoming F-series processors could include some significant changes, such as the removal of ‘Efficient Cores', otherwise known as E-Cores. 

According to Intel's leaked marketing material shared by VideoCardz, the Core i3-12100F and i5-12400F processors, and presumably their non-F counterparts, won't feature any E-Cores. As for the i7-12700F (and the i7-12700), it will come with 4x E-cores.

These three processors are believed to feature the stock cooling solution (RM1), which we received details on this week. The cooler should come bundled in boxed, retail processors, but there should also be OEM/tray versions sold without the stock cooler included.

The leaked marketing material shows the Core i3-12100F will come with 4x cores and 8x threads that can clock up to 4.3GHz. Moving on to the Core i5-12400F, it will feature 6x cores and 12x threads capable of running at a maximum clock speed of 4.4GHz. Lastly, the Core i7-12700F will have 12x cores (8x P-cores and 4x E-cores) and 20x threads, clocking up to 4.9GHz when needed.

Intel is expected to announce the remaining line-up of 12th Gen Core processors in early 2022, possibly at CES, which begins on the 4th of January.
