Intel Core i7-13700HX features 16 cores and 24 threads according to benchmark leak

Intel 13th Gen Core CPUs are already available for desktops, but laptop chips have yet to arrive. Still, these lower TDP processors are on the way and plenty of them are showing up in benchmark leaks. The latest is the Intel Core i7-13700HX, which is already featured in two Geekbench entries.

The results were shared by @Benchleaks. The entries show that the processor comes with 16 cores, 24 threads, and a 2.1GHz base clock, but it can boost up at least to 4.9GHz. Other specifications include a 6MB of L2 cache and 30MB of L3 cache. The processor was equipped on a Lenovo 82WQ with 16GB of memory and an RTX 3070 Ti laptop GPU, which scored 34,706 points in the OpenCL benchmark.

In addition to this entry, VideoCardz shared another one where you can see the CPU's actual performance. Here, the chip got 1,866 points in the single-core test and 15,181 points in the multi-core test. In terms of single-core performance, that's more than your average Core i9-12950HX (1,815 points) and in line with the Core i9-13900HK (1,870 points). In multi-core, the upcoming i7 chip beats both the i9-13900HK (12,436 points) and the i9-12950X (13,887 points) by a decent margin.

The first Intel 13th Gen Core laptops should be announced at CES in January.
