Intel Core Ultra 7 155H iGPU outperforms AMD Radeon 780M in 3DMark TimeSpy

With Intel's Meteor Lake (Core Ultra 100) processors just days away from their official launch, benchmark leaks have begun appearing as tests get underway. In the latest, we see the new Xe-powered iGPU for the Core Ultra 7 155H processor outperforming the Radeon 780M in 3DMark TimeSpy.

According to the photos shared by HXL, the Core Ultra 7 155H is a Meteor Lake processor with a 16-core design, including 6 P-Cores, 8 E-Cores, and 2 Low-Power Cores on the SoC die. It also boasts an 8-core Xe-Core GPU setup that reportedly achieved 3,077 points in the 3DMark TimeSpy Graphics test, about the same as the Arc A350M.

Compared to the Radeon 780M integrated graphics, which scores around 2,750 points in the same test, the Intel iGPU was 12% faster. However, it's important to note that while the 12CU Radeon 780M runs in APUs consuming up to 65W, the Core Ultra 7 155H used for the testing only ran at a 38W TDP.

Moving on to the TimeSpy CPU score, the Core Ultra chip got 6,465, comparable to a Core i5-12600. The CPU was also tested on Cinbench R23, where it scored 11,616-12,085 points in the multi-core and 1,483 points in the single-core tests.

KitGuru says: Although the TimeSpy score of the Intel Core Ultra 7 155H's iGPU looks promising, Arc GPUs tend to score higher than competitors in this benchmark. For example, the Arc A770 and the RTX 4060 Ti scores in Time Spy would suggest they are equal, but Nvidia's GPU has a clear advantage in actual games.
