Possible Intel Core-i9 9900K 3DMark benchmark spotted

As the release of Intel's 9th Gen CPUs grows closer, more leaks are coming our way. This latest leak comes in the form of a benchmark test, giving us a good idea of what to expect from Intel's upcoming Core i9-9900K.

In a database entry on 3DMark, the Core i9-9900K was spotted, with the CPU scoring 10,719 points in TimeSpy. The Core i9-9900K will be Intel's latest 8C/16T offering, and as Techspot points out, judging by the TimeSpy score, it will compete well against the Ryzen 2700X, which scores around 9,387 points in TimeSpy.

While the 3DMark entry doesn't specifically label this as the Core i9-9900K, the 8C/16T spec indicates that it likely is. The processor also has a turbo clock of 5GHz, but we couldn't dig up any further details based on the database listing.

One interesting discrepancy is the 3.1GHz stock clock. However, it is worth keeping in mind that this may be an engineering sample and not 100 percent indicative of the final product.

KitGuru Says: If this really is the Core-i9 9900K, then it could a fantastic CPU for gamers. Are you planning on picking up the 9900K when it releases?
