New RTX 40 Super rumours suggest small performance uplift

This past week has been abuzz with rumours about the apparently upcoming RTX 40 Super graphics cards. The latest one comes from a known Nvidia leaker, who has revealed the expected specs for three RTX 40 Super models. These specs include the CUDA core specifications and probable GPU models for these cards.

According to Kopite, the RTX 4080 Super will feature a fully enabled AD103-300 GPU with 10,240 CUDA cores. While the memory configuration remains unknown, it's worth noting that the AD103 GPU indicates a 256-bit memory bus.

Moving to the weirdly named RTX 4070 Ti Super, this card is expected to pack 8,448 CUDA cores and 48MB of L2 cache within one of two GPU variants: the AD103-275 or the AD102-175. The leaker also added that this GPU will have a 256-bit memory bus. As for the RTX 4070 Super, it's expected to feature 7,168 CUDA cores. This variation, like the previously described SKU, might feature two GPU options: the AD104-350 or the AD103-175.

Apparently, these specs are several weeks old, so rather than two GPU versions, Nvidia might be still deciding between versions of its ADA GPUs before launch. It has also been reported that board partners have not been told about RTX 40 Super yet, indicating that a launch won't happen until next year, if at all.
