PNY GTX 950 2GB Review

We know that the GM206 GPU has more headroom in it than reference or board partner speeds would suggest, so we pushed to see how far we could overclock the PNY GTX 950 card.

The PNY GTX950 2GB responded very well to overclocking and we achieved a 25.3% overclock on the core before artifacting would occur. The Samsung GDDR5 memory also showed potential – hitting 1,953mhz (7.8Gbps effective) before problems would occur.

The substantial overclock certainly helps improve performance. While we don't tend to focus too much on synthetic benchmark results the real world gains in games such as Grand Theft Auto V are spectacular – we are talking an average of 11 frames per second more after overclocking!
