To test power consumption today we are using a Keithley Integra unit and we measure power consumption from the VGA card inputs, not the system wide drain. We measure results while gaming in Crysis Warhead and the synthetic stress test Furmark and record both results.
The GTX Titan is the most efficient card on test thanks to the fact it is running in a default state. Both MSI and Sapphire cards are highly overclocked. The Sapphire card takes the lowest power draw when gaming, but it is only by a small amount. When tasked with Furmark, the power draw raises massively in the higher performance state.
