Designed for high-performance computing, enthusiasts and gamers, TeamGroup's T-Force Xtreem DDR5 memory comes in a wide range of speeds and kit sizes. We review the Snow White model, rated at 7600 MT/s, that's priced at £175 here in the UK. The XTREEM line-up consists of seven speeds (at the time of writing) and four kit sizes. 96GB (6800MT/s CL36 1.4V), 64GB (6000MT/s CL34, 6400MT/s CL38 both 1.35V), 48GB (8200MT/s, 8000MT/s both CL38 @ 1.40V, 7600MT/s CL36 @ 1.40V, 7200MT/s CL34 @1.4V and 6800MT/s CL34 @ 1.40V) and finally seven 32GB kits (8000MT/s CL38 @ 1.45V, 7600MT/s CL36 @.1.4V, 7200MT/s and 6800MT/s both at CL34 @ 1.40V and 6400MT/s CL32 @ 1.35V). There are two 6000MT/s options, one CL38 @ 1.25V and the other CL30 @.1.35V. According to the XTREEM product page, 8200MT/s modules and above have XMP 3.0 profiles, while 8000MT/s and below have both XMP 3.0 and AMD EXPO profiles. For this review, TeamGroup sent us a 32GB kit of DDR5-7600MT/s (FFWD532G7600HC36FDC01) containing a pair of single-rank 16GB DIMMs using SK Hynix A-die ICs XMP/EXPO rated at 7600MHz at 36-45-45-84 at 1.40V. TeamGroup back the memory with a Lifetime warranty. Specification Model Number: FFWD532G7600HC36FDC01. Capacity: 32GB (2 x 16). Rated Frequency: DDR5-7600MT/s. Rated Timings: CL36-45-45-84. Voltage: 1.40V. Module Height: 48.8mm. XMP/EXPO: XMP 3.0 / EXPO. The front of the box clearly shows what the memory modules look like in two of the three colour schemes: Narvick Black, and Snow White (our review version). The third option is Diamond Rose, an unusual colour option for a memory module. Above the image is a sticker displaying the kit size and memory speed. Multilingual marketing notes mostly cover the rear of the box The modules are a wee bit on the tall side at 48.8mm which may cause problems with some air coolers. TeamGroup uses 2mm thick aluminium alloy heat spreaders, which have four alloy fins on the top half of the back of the spreader. The aluminium has been sandblasted which gives the modules a slightly rough feel when handled. The memory uses eight 2GB SK Hynix A-Die ICs (H5CG48?GBDX014) and also on the PCB is a Richtek RTQ5132GQWF power management IC (PMIC). The memory runs at DDR5-2800 with timings of 46-46-46-90-136 (1.10V) natively with two Intel XMP 3.0 / EXPO profiles supporting DDR5-7600 with 36-45-45-84-129 timings at 1.40V and DDR5-6000 using 38-38-38-78 timings at 1.25V. We will be testing the memory kit performance with an Intel Core i7-14700K CPU, MSI MPG Z790 Carbon WiFi motherboard and a GeForce RTX 4060 VENTUS 2X BLACK 8G OC graphics card. Memory Benchmarks AIDA64 When tested with the memory bandwidth test in AIDA64, the T-Force XTREEM DDR5-7600 produced test result figures of 112,250MB/s for reads and 96,102MB/s for writes, both of which are the fastest we've seen from our Intel test platform to date. The CL36 timings certainly don't hold the memory back in the AIDA64 benchmark. Compute and Productivity Tests 7-Zip In the 7-Zip benchmark, the T-Force XTREEM the drive's Compressing score of 181 GIPS puts it in third place on the results chart behind the C32 G.Skill Trident Z5 Royal 6400MT/s and Corsair's Dominator Titanium 6000MT/s C30 modules. Cinebench 2024 TeamGroup's T-Force XTREEM memory doesn't seem to handle the Cinebench 2024 multi-core test too well, ending up in a mid-table position behind quite a few lower-rated modules. Encoding Handbrake As with the Cinebench 2024 result, the memory didn't seem to handle Handbrake too well either as the result sees the memory towards the bottom of the results chart. Having said that it is only 11fps behind G.Skill's Trident Z5 Royal DDR5-6400 sitting in the top spot. Office Productivity PCMark 10 Essentials Productivity Digital Content Creation TeamGroup's T-Force XTREEM 7600MT/s memory does well enough in the PCMark 10 benchmark although its nothing to get excited about, with the best result coming from the Productivity group of tests. Gaming (1080p) Total War Pharaoh - Battle In the Total War Pharaoh Battle benchmark, the T-Force XTREEM sits in the top ten results using the Ultra settings and in the top 5 using the Low settings. However, truth be told there's hardly anything in it between any of the modules in top half of the results chart for both quality settings in this test. Final Fantasy XIV-Dawntrail The T-Force XTREEM memory kit sits in the top ten in the results chart using Ultra settings with the best 1% Low score we've seen to date using these settings in this particular test. Using the Standard quality settings the memory sits in the fourth spot in the results chart, and just like with the Maximum quality setting results, the 1% Low score is very impressive. We will be testing the memory kit performance with an AMD Ryzen 7 7700X CPU, MSI MPG X670E Carbon WiFi motherboard and a GeForce RTX 4060 VENTUS 2X BLACK 8G OC graphics card. Memory Benchmarks AIDA64 When tested with the AIDA64 memory benchmark the 32GB kit of TeamGroup's T-Force XTREEM 7600 produced a read figure of 59,079MB/s, a result which places the modules in the seventh place in the results chart. However, its write result of 86,638MB/s is the fifth fastest we have seen to date in this test. Compute and Productivity Tests 7-Zip In the 7-Zip benchmark, the T-Force XTREEM 7600 sits in third spot in the table. Truth be told there isn't an awful lot in it between top spot and tenth place on the table. Cinebench 2024 In the Cinebench 2024 multi-core test, the memory sits in the third spot behind TeamGroup's T-Force Vulcan α 6000 and Corsair's Dominator Titanium 6000. Encoding Handbrake In the Handbrake test, the memory sits in a mid-table position. In reality, there is hardly anything to choose between all the modules in this test as only 7fps separates the fastest from the slowest. Office Productivity PCMark 10 Essentials Productivity Digital Content Creation When tested with PCMark10, TeamGroup's XTREEM 7600 produced a mix of results. Its result from the Essentials test traces puts it towards the bottom of the results chart whereas the Digital Content Creation result sees it sitting in second place in that table. The Productivity result sees the drive sitting between those two positions in mid-table. Gaming (1080p) Total War Pharaoh - Battle In the Total War Pharaoh Battle benchmark, the results see the memory sit in third spot using the games Ultra quality settings and second position using the Low settings. Final Fantasy XIV-Dawntrail There's not much to choose from between all the kits in the Final Fantasy XIV Dawntrail benchmark using either the Maximum or Standard image quality settings. Performance-wise, the T-Force XTREEM 7600MT/s is something of a mixed bag. Used in the Intel test rig it gave the fastest AIDA read/write scores we've seen to date but that is not the case using the AMD system where its read result puts it mid-table. With the 7Zip benchmark, the memory sits in third spot for both platforms. The Handbrake test results were disappointing for both Intel and AMD systems. We found a 32GB kit of TeamGroup T-Force XTREEM DDR5-7600MHz (Snow White) on Overclockers UK for £175 (inc VAT) HERE. Pros Overall performance. Build quality. Limited lifetime warranty. Cons Some test results were a little disappointing. KitGuru says: TeamGroup's T-Force XTREEM DDR5-7600 32GB kit we looked at offered a mixed bag of results, It is the fastest we've seen to date in the AIDA 64 benchmark (Intel) but on the flip side the Cinebench 2024 and Handbrake test results were disappointing. And at 48.8mm high, if you use air cooling for your CPU you might have to check any clearance issues.
