We measure power consumption at the socket via a calibrated meter – system wide. The monitor is not included in the draw.
Power results were measured at idle and when loading the system in the final ‘combined’ test in 3DMark 11.
The system only takes less than 80 watts when idle. Under load, this rises to around 310 watts. The Corsair 750W in the system will be loaded at around 40 percent of total power when the system is gaming – not far from peak efficiency.
