Europe’s rating board appears to have leaked the Dragon’s Dogma II release date

In recent weeks, we've seen some positive signs that Capcom's highly anticipated title, Dragon's Dogma 2, is much closer to release than expected. The game was playable at the Tokyo Game Show in September and a showcase dedicated to the game is coming later in the month. Now, we may have an idea of what Capcom plans to announce, as Europe's video game ratings board may have just leaked the game's release date.

Capcom has already stated that it has a major release planned for Q1 2024, ahead of the end of the fiscal year. Now, it appears that this mystery game will indeed be Dragon's Dogma 2. As spotted by Wario64, PEGI has rated the game and in its listing, it put the release date down as the 22nd of March 2024. If this were a placeholder date, then it would likely be set as the 31st of March instead.

Capcom will most likely unveil the release date during the 15-minute showcase scheduled for November 28th. We can also expect a new look at gameplay and a dive into the features of the game and story premise.

Based on what we've seen in the trailers so far, Dragon's Dogma II will be similar to the previous title, featuring enhanced combat, better graphics, and a unique party system. The scenarios and environments align with those of Dragon's Dogma, but the better graphics give it more visual appeal. So, if you like the former game, you should at least try it.

KitGuru Games: DLSS 5 misses the point

It would be hard to argue that NVIDIA’s DLSS technologies haven’t been a net positive to the PC space, with the machine-learning based upscaler successfully translating lower resolution inputs into a final image which is perceivably sharper while hogging fewer resources. Though somewhat more contentious, the next evolution of DLSS came in the form of Frame Generation, using ML in order to generate additional frames for high-refresh rate gaming. Both techniques can have their issues, but generally speaking they’ve allowed for more people to experience higher-end titles at increased frame rates. DLSS 5, however, takes a sharp pivot, with a very different end goal in mind than the performance-boosting versions that came before.
