Insomniac Games teases unannounced multiplayer project

With Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart now available, it's time for Insomniac Games to start thinking about its next project. While Insomniac is primarily known for single-player titles, it looks like the studio is beginning to experiment with multiplayer.

Over on Twitter, Insomniac Games revealed that it has five job openings “for a multiplayer project”. These jobs include a Creative Director, Story Lead, Art Director, VFX Artist and a multiplayer systems designer.

Taking a look at the detailed job listings on Insomniac Games' careers page doesn't give any precise information about the game, leaving us to wonder if this project will be a completely new game or a multiplayer component of one that is already out.

Insomniac has dabbled in multiplayer in the past, including The Unspoken for the Oculus Rift and Fuse, a co-op third-person shooter for PS3 and Xbox 360. Aside from this mystery multiplayer game, Insomniac is also expected to be working on Spider-Man 2.

KitGuru says: Do you think Insomniac Games is developing a new standalone multiplayer game or will this be a multiplayer mode for another game?
