Amazon Studios’ upcoming MMO, New World, finally has a new release date. The game was delayed again back in February, but just a few months later, we have a new launch date. Assuming it sticks, you’ll be able to play New World in August.
While the game was originally supposed to launch last Summer, the developers decided to push the game back for another year of development. New World is now due to release on the 31st of August, and there is even a new trailer to reintroduce us to the world of Aeternum:
New World will go into closed beta on the 20th of July, so pre-order customers can test the game out well ahead of time. If all goes well, we’re unlikely to see another delay.
After the most recent delay, the developers have been taking the time to improve quest design and variety, as well as other features like PvP gameplay.
KitGuru Says: Have any of you played New World during its closed alpha tests? Do you think this MMO can be a success when it eventually comes out?
