Dragon Age 4 ‘on track’ and should release within 18 months

Dragon Age 4 skipped last year's major gaming events, but we should get a substantial update on the game later this year. According to new reports, Dragon Age 4 has been hitting its development milestones and is on track for a 2023 release.

EA officially announced Dragon Age 4 back in 2018, and while we’ve had some small teasers since then, we have yet to see the game in action. According to Giant Bomb's Jeff Grubb, development has been going well and the game has been hitting milestones and that the game is on schedule.

Grubb's sources also claim that the game is around 18 months out from its scheduled release window, so we should expect the game to release by holiday season next year.

EA has not confirmed its timeline for Dragon Age 4 publicly, but we do know that the game initially began development back in 2015. That version of the game, codenamed ‘Joplin’, was cancelled in 2018 and BioWare had another leadership shuffle. The current version of the game began development later that same year.

KitGuru Says: Anthem was quite the blow for BioWare but things seem to be back on track now with a renewed focus on single-player RPGs. Hopefully Dragon Age 4 will be the return to form we're all hoping for.
