Ahead of E3, Ubisoft chose to reveal some new Far Cry 6 details this week, showing off new gameplay and announcing the game’s release date. While Far Cry 6 was initially due to release in early 2021, after a delay, the game will now be coming out in October instead.
The game takes place on the fictional island of Yara, caught in the middle of a revolution as locals try to overthrow a dictatorship led by Anton Castillo.
The game promises to offer “the most expansive Far Cry playground” to date. Players will be placed in the shoes of Dani Rojas, recruiting an army and engaging in guerrilla warfare across the island and its capital city, Esperanza.
Far Cry 6 is coming to PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and Stadia on the 7th of October.
