Hunt: Showdown gets cross-play on Xbox One and PS4

Crytek's Hunt: Showdown has been out of Early Access for a while now, but the game is about to embark on a whole new chapter. Earlier this year, Crytek announced that Koch Media has signed on to publish the game on consoles and beyond that, cross-play support is also coming to widen the matchmaking pool.

To help out with Hunt: Showdown on Xbox One and PS4, Koch Media is stepping in to handle publishing and distribution across digital and retail. This deal came into place earlier this year, with the launch of Hunt: Showdown on Xbox One and PS4 in February.

Now in the latest update, the Xbox One and PS4 versions of the game also have access to cross-play multiplayer, so you can matchmake with players on either system.

PC is unfortunately not included in the cross-play lineup, likely due to concerns over a performance advantage on higher-end systems or with a mouse/keyboard. However, Crytek could consider adding PC to the cross-play pool later down the line.

KitGuru Says: I've hopped in and out of Hunt: Showdown on PC for about a year now, but I've not had a chance to try the console version. Do many of you play this one on PC or console? Would you like to see cross-play for all platforms, or should it be limited to Xbox and PlayStation?
