Mass Effect: Legendary Edition PC system requirements revealed

As we learned earlier this week, Mass Effect: Legendary Edition is coming out in just a few months time. We know what enhancements and content the remastered trilogy contains, but we didn't have confirmation on PC hardware requirements. That changes today and as you might expect, the game is very accessible.

Mass Effect: Legendary Edition remasters the original trilogy in Unreal Engine 3 with new textures, enhanced cutscenes, new character models and of course, gameplay improvements – which is particularly important for Mass Effect 1. You can see some of those improvements in action in the trailer below:

Now as for PC system requirements, at minimum, the game calls for:

  • CPU: Intel Core i5-3570 or AMD FX-8350
  • RAM: 8GB
  • GPU: Nvidia GTX 760 or AMD Radeon R9 280X.
  • Storage: 120GB

Meanwhile, the recommended system requirements include:

  • CPU: Intel Core i7-7700 or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
  • RAM: 16GB
  • GPU: Nvidia GTX 1070 or Radeon Vega 56
  • Storage: 120GB

Maxing the game out may be taxing but for the most part, the game appears to be accessible and playable on a wide range of hardware. Mass Effect: Legendary Edition is due out on the 14th of May.
