The Division: Heartland looks to be releasing soon

Ubisoft has been working away on a couple of spin-offs in The Division franchise in recent years. These games have taken a while to hit the market but it looks like that will finally change soon. The Division: Heartland has now been submitted to ratings boards, indicating that a release is just around the corner.

The Division: Heartland is set in the fictional town of Silver Creek in the rural US Midwest. In this game, players will enter a town at the centre of a violent conflict between rogue Division agents and a group of survivors. The game will focus on battles against AI-controlled enemies, as well as other players, so you'll get a healthy mix of PvE and PvP action.

The Division: Heartland will be free to play on PC and consoles, while The Division: Resurgence will be available on mobile devices.

As of the 14th of November, The Division: Heartland has been rated by the Taiwan ratings board. Typically, we see ratings listings like this within a few months of a planned launch so assuming there are no delays, this game should be arriving quite soon, likely in early 2024.

With Ubisoft Massive finally shipping its Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora in December, and Star Wars: Outlaws in 2024, the studio can turn its attention back to The Division series. Aside from these two spin-offs, developed by other studios within the Ubisoft family, Ubisoft Massive will soon begin work on The Division 3, the next major chapter in the series.

KitGuru Says: I really enjoyed The Division 1 but didn't like the second game quite as much. If these spin-offs can deliver a bit of a different flavour and flesh out this version of an post-apocalyptic America, then they should make established fans of the franchise happy.
