The full reveal for Shadow of the Tomb Raider has finally arrived

Last month, Square Enix officially announced Shadow of the Tomb Raider, after two years of rumors and leaks. The announcement came with a teaser trailer, and the promise of a bigger reveal on the 27th of April. That day has now arrived, with gameplay impressions and a full trailer hitting the web.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider will be launching on the 14th of September. The new cinematic trailer hints at ‘the beginning of the end' for the reboot trilogy, which has centred around the origins of Lara Croft and her journey to becoming the heroine we all remember from the 90s and early 2000s.

So far, various first impressions across the web paint the story as another dark and bloody outing for Croft. Gameplay will be fairly similar to Rise of the Tomb Raider, which has an increased focus on exploring the world and uncovering its secrets, though it could still be played as a linear action adventure depending on player choice.

In Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Lara Croft will be trying to stop the Maya apocalypse. The game is still scheduled to launch in mid-September.

KitGuru Says: I've really enjoyed the rebooted Tomb Raider series so far, so I'm excited to play this in a few months time. What do you guys think of the new trailer? Will you be playing this when it comes out?
