The Witcher 3 hits new all-time peak concurrent player count on Steam

The Witcher 3 Remastered has launched to overwhelmingly positive reception, and the renewed interest has already translated into a major milestone on Steam. CD Projekt Red has confirmed that today’s re‑release has pushed the game to its highest concurrent player count ever on Valve’s platform.

Steam Charts shows The Witcher 3 peaking at around 120K concurrent players this afternoon, achieved within just a few hours of the remaster becoming available. This surpasses every previous peak the game has seen since its original launch in 2015, including the spikes driven by major sales, expansions and the Netflix series.

CD Projekt Red marked the moment with a statement celebrating the surge of returning and first‑time players, saying: “11 years after launch, more witchers are now walking the Path across the Continent than ever before. Seeing so many of you set out on this journey for the very first time, or relive it once more, means the world to us. Thank you for putting your trust in us, all these years later.”

The Witcher 3 Remastered arrives with upgraded visuals, new assets created in collaboration with modders, improved animations, revamped traversal, smoother horse riding and optional path‑traced lighting on PC.
