World of Warcraft: Shadowlands is finally releasing later this month after delays pushed it out of October and it is already looking to be the biggest expansion launch for the game so far.
During a recent Activision Blizzard earnings call, the publisher boasted that World of Warcraft: Shadowlands has the highest amount of pre-orders than any other expansion to date. The subscriber base has also seen a big boost since the launch of WoW: Classic last year.
“We’ve seen unprecedented engagement trends since the subscriber base doubled following the launch of Classic last year”, Activision CEO, Bobby Kotick said. “Pre-sales of the upcoming Shadowlands expansion are the highest we’ve seen at this stage ahead of any release.”
Engagement is also at an all-time high, indicating that more players are logging in each day in anticipation for the new expansion. World of Warcraft: Shadowlands will officially launch on the 23rd of November.
KitGuru Says: We tend to hear statements like this ahead of each WoW expansion, so this isn’t too surprising. Are many of you jumping back into WoW for Shadowlands?
