Apple lose head of mobile advertising

Apple are losing Andy Miller, their head of mobile advertising. He is switching jobs to work at venture capital firm Highland Capital Partners.

He spoke to the Wall Street Journal and said “I am excited to join the team and for the opportunity to work with exceptional entrepreneurs building the next generation of innovative, market leading companies.”

Apple have confirmed that Miller is leaving, but didn't issue a statement.

Miller was the leader of the iAd team and reported directly to Jobs. He was responsible for pitching major agencies on buying campaigns through the system.

Peter Bell, a partner in Highland Capital said “Andy is a visionary entrepreneur and an outstanding leader with a proven track record of building game-changing businesses. He'll be a terrific addition to the Highland team as we continue to expand our presence in California.”
