Apple stores were shut for part of the day to allow company retail staff to watch a broadcast of the memorial service. Apple have kept details of the service quiet, but as always information has been circulating on the internet.

Cook said “Those of us who have been fortunate enough to know and work with Steve have lost a dear friend and an inspiring mentor, Steve leaves behind a company that only he could have built, and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple.”
