Apple is considering a 14-inch MacBook Air

Apparently Apple is seriously thinking about producing a 14-inch sized MacBook Air with primary motivation for this sized notebook stemming from the Asia market.

It’s been determined that Asians are particularly fond of 14-inch notebooks and this size makes up between 35 and 40% of the total notebook market across Asia, whereas globally that percentage is much lower for 14-inch models (20 to 25%) and a bulkier 15-inch unit tends to be the more preferred option.

If Apple goes ahead with a 14-inch MacBook Air it would be an obvious indication that the company is actively making efforts to ramp up its presence in the booming China market.

KitGuru says: Makes sense – there’s a lot to gain by catering to the immense China market. It’s a wonder Apple hadn’t turned its targets earlier.
