MSI Introduce new 2017 Gaming Dimension Laptops

The battle for top spot in the gaming laptop market continues to intensify, with notebook specs improving all the time. MSI is clearly one of the front runners and working hard to innovate its way to a leadership position. At Computex 2017, we caught up with MSI marketing guru, Chris Gough. As well as the new products themselves, he also went into detail about the new technologies being brought to market under the banner of the ‘Next Gaming Dimension'.

Given that gaming laptops with a Kaby Lake CPU and GTX 1050Ti are available for less than £1,000, serious mobile gaming is now a reality for more people than every before. So what technologies might you add if you wanted to stay ahead of the competition?

MSI's R&D team have now added 120Hz monitors with 3ms refresh rates, Cooler Boost 5 alongside a new Titan cooling module as well as a rapid fire mechanical keyboard option and per-key RGB lighting for a personalised experience. That list is rounded off by new concept in giant speakers which combines 4 speakers in a chamber that's 5x bigger than you're likely to find on  a regular laptop.

This Dynaudio system can deliver over 105dBA for a chassis-shaking gaming experience that's unlike anything you will have seen/heard before. Finally, the MSI GS63VR Stealth Pro takes slimline gaming to a new extreme with a chassis that's only 17.7mm – making it the thinnest gaming notebook on the planet – complete with a GTX1070.

In our video above Chris takes us through all of the innovations and new products.
