ASUS TUF Gaming A15 Review (5800H/RTX 3070)

CPU Performance Summary:

The Ryzen 7 5800H is a very solid mobile CPU. It's not clocked quite as high as the 5900HX, but still offers eight Zen 3 cores with SMT, and that's enough to come in a fair bit faster than Intel's best, the i9-11980HK.

Memory Performance

AIDA64:

Memory bandwidth is also slightly improved over the Strix G15 Advantage, which we know uses sub-par memory modules. The write speeds are still a way off the results posted by the MSI GE76 Raider, but that machine is over twice as expensive as the TUF Gaming A15.

Drive Performance

CrystalDiskMark:

Similarly, ASUS is sticking with a PCIe 3.0 SSD here in the form of the SK Hynix BC711. As PCIe 3.0 drives go, it is a good one, offering 3.6GB/s sequential reads and 3GB/s sequential writes. PCIe 4.0 storage is a thing however, so we can only say this must be an area ASUS deemed suitable for a compromise so as to not drive up the price.
