Pokémon TCG Pocket surpasses 100 million downloads

The Pokémon Trading Card Game is experiencing a surge in popularity, with the mobile adaptation Pokémon TCG Pocket recently surpassing a staggering 100 million downloads. This news comes alongside exciting announcements from the latest Pokémon Presents event, revealing new content and features for both the physical and digital card games.

The new Triumphant Light update, which is now available, introduces powerful new “ex” cards, unique Trainer cards, and new cards featuring stunning artwork. A new gameplay mechanic, Link abilities, allows certain cards to gain increased power when an Arceus or Arceus ex card is in play.

Pokémon TCG Pocket, released in October of last year, has quickly become a favourite among mobile gamers. The game has received consistent updates and content additions, with the latest announcements celebrating Pokémon Day 2025 and further expanding its features. To commemorate Pokémon Day, players can enjoy two special promotions. Logging into the game between now and April 29th will grant players free booster packs containing at least one card with a four-star rarity or higher.

Additionally, limited-time special missions will offer new challenges and rewards from February 27th to March 26th. Perhaps most exciting is the announcement of ranked matches coming to Pokémon TCG Pocket in March, adding a competitive layer for those seeking to test their skills against other players. If you haven't joined the 100 million players who've downloaded Pokémon TCG Pocket, it's available for iOS and Android devices.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
