Ouya shipping at end of month

The Ouya is set to begin shipping to Kickstarter backers at the end of March (28th to be precise) meaning that gamers will get their first in-the-wild glimpse of the little Android console that could shake up an industry that has been dominated by the big three for the past decade.

The full launch of the Ouya is expected to be in June, where those that simply pre-ordered will be able to get their hands on one, as well as those that buy it on launch day. According to the latest news, new features are expected in the coming few months, though there isn't much detail on what those are.

New games have also been announced, including Airtight Games' untitled “imaginative” game that there is practically no info on at the moment. This is coming from the studio that produced Quantum Conundrum – the Portal like puzzle room game.

There's also a touchpad enabled game coming from Minority media, the guys behind Papo and Yo and another by Tripwire known as “The Ball.”

KitGuru Says: I won't be buying one of these, as I'm a PC gamer at heart, but I'm interested to see what it does to the console landscape.
