Dark Souls 3 rumoured to be getting a remaster

Dark Souls 3 marked the conclusion of FromSoftware’s excellent hardcore action series. Released back in 2016, the game still holds up technologically – appearing quite similar visually to the likes of Elden Ring. Interestingly however, it seems as though a remaster of the 3rd entry is currently in the works.

As reported by known leaker ‘Shpeshal Nick’ during the most recent episode of the Xbox Era podcast: “what I have heard is that we are getting a Dark Souls 3 remaster.”

Apparently, that’s not all, with Nick teasing that “I did get a little bit more than that but I'm not allowed to pass that on or mention it.”

While Dark Souls 3 could certainly do with a facelift on PlayStation and Xbox, the PC release remains solid (well, as solid as any game running on FromSoftware’s engine can be) and so to choose to remaster 3 before Dark Souls 2 would be an interesting move.

Dark Souls 3 Remaster

Admittedly, Dark Souls 2 already got a remaster with the release of the Scholars of the First Sin edition, however unlike DS3, it never got a PS4 Pro / Xbox patch and so would benefit more from a refresh when compared to 3.

Regardless, it will be interesting to see what FromSoftware winds up doing with the Dark Souls series, especially now that Elden Ring and its DLC have been released.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
