AMD Ryzen CPUs get price cut for Amazon Prime Day

While there is a good handful of GPU deals to be found during Amazon Prime Day, there aren't many sales as far as desktop processors are concerned. There is one deal that caught our eye though, with the Ryzen 7 7700X being slashed by 50 percent.

As noted above, there aren't many deals to be found for CPUs during Amazon Prime Day. There are currently no Intel processors as part of the sale, but there are a couple of AMD options. At the top of the list is the Ryzen 7 7700X, AMD's previous-gen CPU, which is now down to £219. For reference, if you wanted a newer Ryzen 7 9700X, you'd be spending £340.

If you are willing to go back another generation, the Ryzen 7 5800X is just £123. If you are primarily gaming though, then you will be better served with a 3D V-cache CPU, like the Ryzen 7 5700X3D, which is also discounted to £161 for Prime Day.

Unfortunately outside of these few options, there aren't any other CPU deals to be found on Amazon. If you want a motherboard, cooler and some memory to go with a new CPU though, you will find plenty of deals.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
