Dead Space and more coming to PS Plus Essential next month

Each month, all those with a PlayStation Plus subscription are able to get their hands on a few select games which can be added to your library – and remain playable as long as you have an active subscription. As announced during the State of Play, October’s line-up has now been revealed.

Available to add to your library from the 1st of October, next month’s PS Plus Essential offerings lean into Halloween’s spooky vibes, with the line-up being as follows:

  • Dead Space Remake | PS5
  • Doki Doki Literature Club | PS4, PS5
  • WWE 2K24 | PS4, PS5

Beyond this, the console manufacturer also teased some of the games coming to its PS Plus Premium tier, with the classics ‘Dino Crisis’ and ‘Legacy of Kain’ dropping some time next month – probably between October’s second and third weeks.

We will likely hear more on the PS Plus Extra/Premium tiers early next month. Still, the tease of what’s to come is exciting, especially for those begging for a new Dino Crisis.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
