Ghost of Tsushima has sold over 13 million copies

Ghost of Tsushima marked one of Sony’s most successful new IPs upon its release back in 2020, with the open world PS4 title amassing a massive fanbase in a short amount of time. With a sequel having now officially been announced, we have gotten updated sales figures on the first game – revealing that it has sold over 13 million copies.

As reported by The New York Times, since its release in 2020, Ghost of Tsushima has sold over 13 million copies – a rather notable boost compared to the last official figures, which put the game at 9.73 million copies sold back in 2022 during the game’s 2nd anniversary.

Ghost of Tsushima is an excellent game which, despite its relatively generic game design principles, manages to elevate itself above others thanks to its commitment to style and immersion.

It will be interesting to see how the just-announced sequel ‘Ghost of Yotei’ performs when it releases some time next year.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
